John Barnes, the proud owner and head trainer at Silentwork since 2017, holds the title of 2007’s Mr. Northwest Florida from the Gulf Coast. With extensive experience on the court, John has played at the D1, D2, and D3 collegiate levels, and also showcased his skills overseas in Valencia, Spain. His profound understand of an athletes journey, from the daily challenges to the thrilling triumphs, is evident in his training methodologies. Beyond honing his own game, John is always on the quest to innovate and optimize training techniques for his clients. 

A devoted father and husband, John balances his family commitments with his passion for basketball. Adding another feather to his cap, John serves as a mental performance coach, assisting athletes from high school stars to seasoned professionals in building transformative habits. These habits not only promote growth in their athletic endeavors but also empower them to achieve their personal and professional goals. 

With a vision to revolutionize the basketball culture, to one that takes care of the complete athlete is no wonder he perused a degree in sociology. Nowadays, his dedication lies in study human development and immersing himself in diverse content, insuring he offers unparalleled service to his clients.
